Braswell Family Senior Care History
Our commitment to caring for seniors began in 1963 when Reverend A. L. Braswell, a dedicated pastor, and a part-time contractor was asked to build a healthcare facility in Pomona.
In the years that followed, the Reverend's sons Jim and Art joined their father in the healthcare field. Since then, serving the needs of the senior population has grown to become a Braswell family passion.
The Braswell Family
owned and operated 12 healthcare facilities through 2018, all within a 100-mile radius. Six of the 12 properties were located within a 10-mile radius of each other in the cities of Redlands and Yucaipa, California. The Braswell facilities provided a range of services including independent retirement living, short-term aggressive rehabilitation, secured Alzheimer's care, Sub-Acute care and Hospice care and Jim's son, James H. Braswell, was the President and General Manager of the 12 operations.
Between 2015 and 2018, The Braswell family decided to divest of the skilled nursing businesses and focus on the development of their assisted living (RCFE, ALF) operation. The family firmly prescribes to the principle that "Less is More". James works with the leadership team to continue the vision that was started by his family in 1963. James Braswell and his team strive to remain strong efficient operators with a clear vision of Customer Service and meet the needs for today and the future.
